The Greene County Schools board of education will hold a special meeting Wednesday, Aug. 31, to consider providing transportation for students swimming with the Boone High School swim team as part of a shared sports agreement. The meeting will begin at 6 pm and be held at the school administration building.
Parents made the request at the regular meeting Aug. 17. Superintendent Tim Christensen was asked to get a firm cost before a decision was made. He suggested calling a special meeting rather than waiting until the September regular meeting as the swim season has already begun.
